In every community, at any moment, there are things that could be better, things that could make life more worth living for someone, things that would improve the quality of life for everyone in your neighborhood. These opportunities for improvements, exist everywhere, independent of how well some place is doing. And if you happen to live in the United States or Canada, and have identified such a issue in your community, State Farm in inviting you to do something about it.
From March 3 to March 23 they are accepting submissions of causes for the chance to win $25 000 to help address the issue identified. State Farm Neighborhood Assist program, in addition to giving a $25 000 grant to 40 of the top causes also connects the winners with a local nonprofit that can help them actually solve the problems.
"For State Farm to acknowledge what we're doing in our community and feel that our project is worthwhile was a huge shot in the arm for us," said Dr. Paula McCabe, founder of the 2013 grant recipient. "We've received tremendous support from State Farm."
